Right up the northern end of Beaumaris Bay, there is an area reserved for an all year dog beach. A fairly long beach with plenty of bins nearby for poopie collection.

The beach itself was fairly nice, and if you're a local I'm sure you like having this beach nearby as its a pretty good spot to visit. Plenty of people were visiting with their dogs on the hotter days. The water also seemed to be warmer here despite the bay temperature reading on the day, possibly due to the bay's shape?

For me, the main appeal is the walking tracks just north of the beach which go along the cliffside. The trail is on-leash, and twists along the cliffside parallel to Beach Road. Along the way there are a number of lookouts from the cliff looking across to Frankston and Dromana. Keep following and you'll end up at another year long dog beach at Rickett's Point near Beaumaris Yacht Club. The walk is roughly 2.7km.

The beach itself is down from a hillside, so wandering dogs aren't likely to go too far off. The actual off-leash area starts from the stairway across from Plummer Rd and runs north along the beach to the cliffside. If you wanted to go further south towards the boat club, the beaches have limited times when you can have your dog on leash or offleash.

There's a few parking areas nearby, with one just right above the beach. It is ticketed until 8pm each day.
